Mecklenburg County

2nd Saturday of each month

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control monthly rabies clinic are held at the Animal Care & Control Shelter at 8315 Byrum Drive in Charlotte. Rabies shots are free for Mecklenburg County residents. The pet’s county pet license must be current. The pet license fees for Mecklenburg County are $30.00 per year for fertile animals and $10.00 per year for sterile animals. Spay / Neuter Clinics are also held on the 2nd Saturday of each month and on every Thursday.
